About the Kanamo Peak:
The Kanamo Peak looms behind Kibber and Tashi Gang villages, hidden away at the heart of Spiti. The Kanamo Peak Trekisfabulous and probably the best way for one to experience a climb to 6000m in India. Kanamo means ‘White Lady’. This peak can be approached and does not require any mountaineering skills and can be climbed properly if one is acclimatized. It is a fascinating trek with a different quality of Himalaya’s i.e. barren mountain desert with sparse vegetation with a touch of snow. Once you reach the summit you will get a 360-degree view of the whole region which is very fascinating. From the summit you can get the views of faraway Kullu, Kinnaur and Ladakh.
About the trekking experience:
- Starting from the picturesque Manali, the trek also takes you through other charming towns of Himachal Pradesh, including Kullu, Kinnaur and Kaza.
- The Kanamo Peak trek at an altitude of 19,600 ft. also lets you witness the summit views of the white Himalayan mountains and on look the aura that surrounds the moon-like figure of Chandra Tal.
- The trek becomes more memorable when you interact with the locals of Spiti valley and Kibber village to take away some intimate knowledge of the place. The view of the Parang La, Kunzum and Pin Parvati passes during the trek, makes you know more about the place.
- The entire trek distance of 27 KM will last for 7 days, during which you will be regularly tested with hearty breakfast, wholesome lunch and delectable dinner.
- Ensure that you stay covered with thermals and enough jackets to withstand the temperature that is between 16°C to 20°C during the day and 3°C to -4°C at night.
- All equipment, meal areas, accommodation, etc. are sanitized before and after every use to ensure the utmost safety and hygiene of the trekkers.

Know Before You Go for Kanamo Peak Trek
- Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
- The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
- Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
- The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
- Do not encourage trekking during the night unless it is a part of the itinerary and a guide is with you; this might lead to unforeseen mishaps.
- Avoid using earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
- Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
- In case, the trek needs to be canceled, the authorities should be informed beforehand
- Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended. Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in

- Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced drivers especially for hilly terrains available
- Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations
- Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
- Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the package.
- Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
- Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
- Consult a physician before undertaking the trek as the gradient ranges to difficult. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek
- It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes as the temperature can drop down to -4°C and also keep the right kind of shoes for the trek.
- Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in for detailed verification.
- All the activities depend upon the weather as there can be tuff snowy trails.
- Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for this trek as the trekking gradient is dificult.
