Today you will start your Seychelles adventure by flying to Seychelles International Airport.
Welcome to tropical paradise of Seychelles. You will be welcomed & greeted by your guide or The Earth Trip representative on arrival at the waiting area of the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel, travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes.
After breakfast you will travel to Eden Marina for boarding your yacht. After the welcome drink and introduction you will sail to nearby St. Anne Island. Overnight anchor near St. Anne.
After breakfast discover the Saint Anne Marine Park Island. It’s a beautiful spot to do snorkelling or just walk and explore the nature trails. After lunch you will cruise to La Digue Island. You will anchor in front of the picturesque harbour of La Passe.
Rent a bike at La Digue and visit this quiet and beautiful island. With its tracks winding under tall palm trees, houses with roofs of palm leaves, small coprah factories, fine white sandy beaches and large polished rocks, La Digue might be the most beautiful island in the Seychelles.
There are no cars, only bicycles or carts drawn by oxen. Horse rides are also possible. What a better way to explore the beauty of La Digue Island, one of Seychelles’ most stunning granitic island – perhaps the most photographed in the world! With its stunning beaches and gigantic boulders cascading down the sea, La Digue is an experience not to be missed. As you pedal along, look out for the stunning Creole architecture, the coconut factory and other interesting sites all vivid reminders of the lifestyle of a bygone era.
Anchorage in La Digue harbour.
After breakfast enjoy snorkelling at Cocos Island. Cocos Island Marine National Park is set around 3 small islets in shallow turquoise sea fringed by large expanses of coral reefs that provide the most breathtaking snorkelling experience.
In the afternoon you will sail to the island of Praslin. Visit the Vallée de Mai, a valley under UNESCO protection. A walk in the Vallée is enchanting. The path wanders in the near obscurity created by the enormous palm leaves of “Cocos de mer”. The trunks are 40 metres high and sway gently in the breeze, making a strange rustling sound as they rub against each other.
Anchorage in Saint Anne Bay.
After breakfast, you will sail towards the sister islands of Grande Soeur. Enjoy a Barbecue lunch on the beach and take a walk to discover one of the most beautiful islands in Seychelles. The islands of Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur are commonly referred to as ‘The Sisters Islands’. Situated 6 kilometres northeast of neighbouring La Digue and in close proximity to Félicité and Cocos Island, these two islands are a popular venue offering spectacular ocean panoramas, trekking and fantastic picnic locations. These islands are also famous for snorkelling and diving in waters where the marine life is prolific. You can enjoy snorkelling or relaxing.
Anchorage in Curieuse for the night.
Curieuse Island is part of the Marine National Park and more than a hundred tortoises live here. The red coloured soil on this rugged island gave it the name of Red Island. The name was changed to La Curieuse by the French in 1768. The huge giant tortoise population was totally destroyed with the arrival of Europeans. In 1771, thinking it would make harvesting the Coco de Mer nuts easier, sailors set fire to the island. This killed off most of the plants and the remnants of the burned area is still seen today more than 240 years later. In 1833, the island was used as a leper colony and remained so until 1965. The colony was called Anse St. Joseph and the doctor’s residence, which dates from the 1870s, is a museum and educational centre today. There are also more than 500 tortoises walking around the island and eight different species of mangrove trees.
After lunch, visit Saint Pierre islet, a mass of rounded rocks crowned with a clump of tall palms swaying gently in the wind: typical and superb scenery of Seychelles photographed on countless occasions and printed a million times in tourism magazines! It is an excellent spot for snorkelling with magnificent underwater scenery.
Anchorage for the night in Anse Volbert, Praslin.
After breakfast you will sail to Cousin Island. Cousin Island is a small island that is two kilometres west of Praslin Island. The whole island has been a nature reserve since 1968 when it became the first internationally owned reserve. It is protected by Seychelles law and managed by Nature Seychelles.
It has also been declared an Important Bird Area by Birdlife International. Dedicated ornithologists regularly visit the island to see the Seychelles magpie-robin, Seychelles warbler and Seychelles fody, which are only found on four other islands in the country.
Return to Mahé in the afternoon.
After breakfast you will disembark and be transferred to the airport depending on your flight departure time.
