Places covered in the tour:Mahabodhi TempleThe Mahabodhi Temple or the Mahabodhi Mahavihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ancient, but much rebuilt and restored, a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, marking the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.
Giant BuddhaThe Great Buddha statue is one of the many stops on the Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist routes in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. The statue is 19.5 m high representing the Buddha seated in a meditation pose, or dhyana mudra, on a lotus in the open air.
Thai TempleIt has a sloping roof covered with golden tiles. Also home to a Thai Temple, the monastery has a 25-meter high bronze statue of Lord Buddha. The impressive Thai Temple has a brightly colored wat with gold leaf shimmering from its arched rooftop and manicured gardens.
Tibetian TempleThe monastery of Gandhen Phelgye Ling in Bodh Gaya is located in the main pilgrimage center and provides any help to Tibetan and foreign pilgrims.
Named after Muchalinda, the Snake King of the Lake, this lake is yet another peaceful spot in Bodh Gaya. It is believed that during Buddha's sixth week of meditation, a huge storm broke out here while Buddha was meditating.
