Gwalior is considered to be a city where a rich cultural tradition has been interwoven into the fabric of modern life. 

Shivpuri area is legendary for its faunal riches. It is said that Emperor Akbar while returning from Malwa in 1854, captured a large number of wild elephants in its forests. The common fauna in Madhav National Park includes leopard, Wild dog, wolf, jackal, hyena, Spotted deer, Nilgai, Chinkara, Chowsingha, and Wild pig. 

Chanderi became an important military outpost, prized by rulers with power or ambition, and repeatedly experienced the might of men who molded the destiny of Hindustan. Several dynasties came to hold sway over the town.

Gwalior, Shivpuri And Chanderi Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Arrive at Gwalior by train, you will be received by the representative. and would be further assisted & transferred to your hotel.

    Rest In the afternoon enjoy a half-day city tour visiting the massive sandstone fort doting the city skyline, the 9th century Teli Ka Mandir and the 11th century Sas Bahu ka Mandir.

    In the evening witness the spectacular sound and light show (entry on direct payment basis) where the history of Gwalior and its warriors is narrated.

    Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 2 -

    Leave in the morning for Shivpuri After having leisurely breakfast, On arrival, check into your hotel.

    Later, visit Chhatris, Madhav Vilas Palace, George castle, Sakhya lake, and Madhav National park.

    Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 3 -

    Leave in the morning for Chanderi. On arrival, check into your hotel.

    Later, visit Chanderi Fort, Badal Mahal Gate, Battisi Bavdi, Budhi Chanderi, Idgah (Mosque), and Chanderi Museum.

    Chanderi is also famous for his Chanderi Silk Sarees. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the market of Chanderi Sarees

    Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 4 -

    Leave in the morning for Gwalior.

    At appropriate time Depart Gwalior railway station.

    Return home with happy memories. The tour will culminate here.
