Fireflies Festival Bhandardara Overview

Bhandardara is a village near Igatpuri, in the western ghats of India. Bhandardara fireflies festival is one of the most amazing and highly favourite attraction and picnic spots for nature lovers. Moon and stars have always been there to follow your path and guide you. Ever seen fireflies do the same. Imagine a dark trail brightened by fireflies flying all around you. Imagine being in a mysterious forest lighted by fireflies.

To take part in this camping, arrive at Kasara around 01:45 pm, by 02:00 pm, leave for the campsite. Reach the base village Samrad by 6 pm, freshen up and listen to the Introduction session, and have your snacks. Visit Kokankada and go for the jungle trails and see fireflies  Return to the campsite and have dinner. Celebrate the night with stargazing as well. 

The next morning, watch the sunrise and have breakfast Explore some part of Sandhan Valley and Rappelling before you proceed to Kasara around 09:00. Transportation will be arranged until the station.

Staff was helpful, nice jungle-walked, we had a great adventure in Rappelling. Great facilities, tasty foods, comfortable stay... Just like everything there.
