About The Activity:
The trek begins from the iconic Victoria Peak and takes you through the rural part of the island which is a perfect blend of Chinese fauna and glorious peaks. While the first half of the trek introduces you to the dense vegetation of this place, the last few miles will put you along the ridges where you can get clicked for as much time as you want.
On your way down, you will be stunned by the panoramic view of Tai Long Bay. Tai Long Bay is a beautiful white sandy beach where trekkers take a halt to renew their energy. This is also an ideal spot for water sport activities like swimming and surfing.
This 4-hour long trek takes you through the untouched forests and gigantic mountains. Along with its challenging trails and magnificent views, you will get to enjoy the splendid visits to Hong Kong Island. This is also a perfect spot for soaking in the charm of turquoise blue South China sea and witnessing the rural side of the city. Spend your leisure time either relaxing on the beach and gathering some soothing memories for the lifetime.
How to Reach:
The meeting point for the activity trip is Shau Kei Wan MTR station 'exit A3' which is 15 minutes from Causeway Bay and 25 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui. The meeting point can be easily reached through convenient private or public transportation. The meeting time is 11 am unless stated otherwise.
Note:
This an all year round hike and can be enjoyed in most weather conditions. Particularly great on sunny days or days with good visibility. Best during the autumn months.
Participants below 14 years of age would be considered as Children.
The trip will be cancelled if typhoon signal #3 or higher or a black rainstorm signal issued two hours prior to the start of the trip. If we cancel a trip, you are welcome to reschedule or get a full refund.

After descending the trail, you can either relax on the Tai Long Bay or indulge in water sports.
Depending upon the number of people in your group, the tour package is of three types. The first package which is tailored for the group of 1-3 people costs INR 4064 . The second package worth INR 3292 is for the larger group of 4-7 people. The last package is for a group of 8+ members. It is priced at INR 2633 .
The best time to visit Dragon’s Back trail is between October and April. These are the months when Hong Kong experience pleasant summers with a moderate temperature. Though December to February are the clearest months, unfortunately, they are also the coldest ones.
Once you take the metro from Shau Kei Wan MTR station, you will have to wait for 15 minutes before you get off at Shek O Road. From this point, you can begin your hiking tour.
It is advisable to wear trainers or robust shoes on this hike. With so many rocks at this place, it is tough to walk in casual sandals.
Your Dragon’s Back Trail hiking tour package is inclusive of 4 hours tour, transfers to and from the pickup place, and an English speaking guide. The package doesn’t include food and beverages. So don’t forget to carry some snacks along with yourself.
It is recommended to carry enough water bottles on this trip as dehydration might pose a major risk to the hikers. Its always better to choose mineralized water over distilled water. In addition to this, one must also remember to wear comfortable trainer shoes which can help them cross the rocky terrains without any difficulty.
