Cycling In Shimla Overview

Trip Location: Shimla

Activity Hours: 9 Hours

Start Time: 9:30 AM
End Time: 6:00 PM

Cycling through some of the most beautiful landscape dotted with tiny villages, rivulets, forests, and some stretch of highway brings you totally a different experience. Nearly six-kilometer of the total track is uphill to the Baldyan Village.

The more interesting part of this cycling trail is that is mostly downhill and then the last eight kilometers if flat of a gradual uphill. The beautiful landscape keeps your attention attracted and forces you to stop at various places to grab the landscape in your camera. The isolated road with almost nil traffic, dotted with tiny hamlets, decorated with a waterfall and then a rivulet that has been providing water to Shimla since 1914 are the major attractions of this trail.

A  guide on a bicycle will be leading the group and stopping at all scenic points to capture pictures and light snacks and water bottles will also be provided.

Key Highlights:
9 am, The Guide and the car loaded with the bicycles will come to pick you up.
We will check the air in the bicycles and their brake pads before we start. We always have extra pads which can be changed as and when required.
From Nalhatti the uphill begins for 4 kilometers and reach the highway. Two kilometers uphill on the highway and then turn left to cycle down for sixteen kilometers via Halog, Ratanpur, and Jaraya.
A minor stop at a tea shop will be there to get a refresh.
We begin again and stop at Baghipu
After the perfect cycling day tour, we load the bicycle back to the car and drive back to Shimla.

How to Reach :
You will be picked from the hotel and the driver will take you to the cycling site. There a cycle will be assigned and you can begin the experience.
