Nestled amidst glistening silver oak forests on all three sides, It is a charming little private cottage located in the elusive Himalayan hamlet of Gagar in Uttarakhand. The crisp mountain air and the serene atmosphere of the place slowly ebbs away stress, making it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy the simple things of life. A boutique home stay, it is perfect for writers, poets, bird-watchers or those who wish to spend some quiet time away from the cacophony of big cities. With a cozy fireplace and a sun- drenched courtyard that offers a dramatic, 180 degree views of the imposing snow-covered Himalayan peaks.

A private cottage that offers delicious food, personal service, sweeping views of the valley and mountains, with oak and deodar woods flourishing at the back, and snow in winter, there are heaps of interesting books for guests to paw through some board games. There are 2 rooms  Both have comfy double beds, plenty of books and lockable cupboards for storage. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the other has its own bathroom just next door. Both rooms have windows overlooking the valley, and they also share a verandah to which you can slip away when you’re feeling too lazy to walk downstairs. The cottage also has a fireplace that the staff will happily attend to, so you can spend evenings warming yourself with your favourite tipple. One can visit the 350-year-old Shiva Temple at Mukteshwar, treks can be organised. There is a short hike behind the property through the home of the resident leopard, or you can take longer treks to the village in the valley below; simply tailor the duration to your energy/fitness. level.

The location is approx 1 hour drive  from Nainital. Shared & private cabs are easily accessible to the spot.

By Air: The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport, 43 km from the property.
By Train: The nearest rail head is Kathgodam (39km) which has regular train services.
