People with reduced mobility, suffering from heart or respiratory failure, and have sensitivity or claustrophobia are strongly recommended not to visit the Catacombs of Paris.
It is not allowed to drink or eat during the visit and access the site in possession of alcoholic beverages.
Animals are not allowed.
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
At the Catacombs of Paris, it is forbidden to touch the bones, which are the fragile remains of millions of Parisians.
Carrying a suitcase, a large bag or a motorcycle helmet is not allowed. Only bags measuring 40x30x20 cm are authorised. They must be worn in front or in the hand.
Personal photography is allowed, provided that you do not use a stand or tripod that could disturb other visitors.
The Catacombs of Paris are not wheelchair and stroller accessible. The Hôtel des Invalides is wheelchair accessible with the exception of the Dome containing the Tomb of Napoleon.
Please note that due to the Hôtel des Invalides’ extension and modernisation works, all the unusual cabinets are closed until June 2024.
ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of arrival.
All foreign nationals are required to share their passport details at the time of arrival.
