Must Know

Bring the ticket voucher along with a valid photo ID proof such as your passport copy.

People with reduced mobility, suffering from heart or respiratory failure, and have sensitivity or claustrophobia are strongly not recommended to visit the Catacombs of Paris.

For reasons of conservation of the Catacombs of Paris, it is forbidden to drink or eat during the visit, and it is strictly forbidden to access the site in possession of alcoholic beverages (cans, bottles and any other container).

Animals are not allowed.

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

At the Catacombs of Paris, it is forbidden to touch the bones, which are the fragile remains of millions of Parisians.

It is not allowed to enter the site with a suitcase, a large bag or a motorcycle helmet. Only bags measuring 40x30x20 cm are authorised. They must be worn in front or in the hand.

Photography for personal use is allowed. Tripods are not allowed.

Specially-abled people with one companion can enter the places free of cost but an admission ticket shall be taken. They may be asked to provide relevant documentation for proof of eligibility.

The Catacombs of Paris are not wheelchair and/or stroller accessible. The Army Museum is wheelchair accessible with the exception of the Dome containing the Tomb of Napoleon.

Please note that due to the Army Museum's extension and modernisation works, all the unusual cabinets are closed until June 2024.

By Metro: Take B Metro Line to Denfert-Rochereau metro station. The Catacombs of Paris will be at a walking distance of about 100 metres from here.

How to Reach the Army Museum from the Catacombs of Paris:

By Metro: Reach Denfert-Rochereau metro station, and take either 8 or 6 Metro Line to La Tour-Maubourg metro station. From here, the Army Museum will be a 6-minute walk away.

Note: The Army Museum is at a short distance of 3 km from the Catacombs of Paris. You can choose to reach here by walking from the Catacombs.
