  • Indian passport holders can obtain a 30-day visa on arrival in Qatar with a return ticket and hotel booking.
  • All international visitors must share passport and visa details upon arrival.
  • Public displays of affection and offensive gestures can lead to fines or legal action.
  • Photography of locals, especially women, requires permission and taking pictures of military sites, government buildings, or restricted areas is prohibited.
  • The currency is Qatari Riyal (QAR), and while credit/debit cards are widely accepted, carrying some cash for taxis and small purchases is recommended.
  • Local SIM cards from Ooredoo and Vodafone can be purchased at the airport and malls, with free WiFi accessible in most hotels, malls, and public areas.
  • Friday is a holy day, and businesses remain closed during morning prayers (approx. 10 AM - 12 PM), with malls and commercial establishments reopening in the afternoon.
