Explore the Chinese Fishing Nets

The most famous sight here is the Chinese Fishing Nets, so if you only have one day in Kochi, this should be at the top of your list of things to do in Fort Kochi. Some of the early visitors to the Malabar Coast established the first Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi in the 15th century, and they are still in use today, especially during the monsoon season when the water levels are high.

Although they have most probably been rebuilt since then, the technique adopted by the original dealers remains the same.
