Kachari Ruins

The Kachari Ruins are one of the unique places to visit in Dimapur. These ruins are a series of mushroom-domed pillars built before the Ahom invasion in the 13th century by the Dimasa Kachari Kingdoms. There is a mystery surrounding the origin and purpose of these pillars and today some remain standing while others have crumbled.
The mushroom-shaped dooms were also believed to have been used for a game similar to chess. Historical Shiva Temple in Dimapur
