Emerald Lake, Bellikkal Lake, Ooty Lake, Avalanche Lake, Pykara Lake, Kamaraj Sagar, Upper Bhavani Lake, and many more.The Shangri-la of Tamil Nadu owes some of its scenic beauty to the lakes in Ooty. The perennial rivers, lakes, and water bodies have helped keep Ooty’s greenery intact and supported the biodiversity.
Ooty fondly referred to as the “Queen of Hill Stations” is endowed with a large number of picturesque Lakes, tropical & Subtropical evergreen forests (sholas), tea and spice plantations, and the bewitching Nilgiri Hills.
While most these lakes have formed naturally, yet a few were artificially constructed by the British, during their period. What can be a better place to laze around than a sparkling lake, where you can also, stroll around with your beloved along the banks, or indulge in some of the water sports like rowing, boating, and various others.
