2. Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in Kodagu district the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most scenic spots of the Western Ghats. It is snuggled at the boundary of Wayanad district and therefore many birds flock here from that region.
Though, the sanctuary not only has the avian species but holds a collection of flora and fauna. It gets its name from the Brahmagiri peak on which this sanctuary is located and has an exotic collection of birds.

3. Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuaries

Named after Talakaveri, that is the origin point of the river Cauvery and the views that it extends are a delight for the eyes and soul. The wildlife sanctuary is known for its collection Elephant, Tiger, Jackal, Gaur, Wild pig, Sloth bear, Lion-tailed Macaque, Leopard, Leopard cat, Wild dog and countless other animals, some of which are rare to the region.
Apart from this, here you can also spot a number of avian species like the Great pied hornbill, Malabar trogon, fairy bluebird, broad-billed roller, and black eagle. This sanctuary is a treasure trove for the birdwatchers as it is adorned with a number of pathways where you can watch the birds chirp!

4. Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
Famed as one of the best Wildlife Sanctuaries of India the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best reserves of the quarter. The sanctuary features a wide collection of endangered birdlife and is adjoining the Bisle reserve forest that attracts more birds.
The Sanctuary features Mandalpatti peak, Kote betta, and Makkalagudi betta where you can spot a number of birds like the Blue-Winged Parakeet, the Grey-Headed Bulbul, the White-Bellied Treepie, the White-Bellied Blue Flycatchers and various others. 5. Nagarhole National Park
Locally called the Rajiv Gandhi National Park, Nagarhole National Park is one of the best reserves in the southern region. This park is the part of the Nilgiri Biosphere and boasts with a number of vibrant colored birds.
The entire region is backed with the trails of tea wood and sandalwood that is home to not only birds but a variety of animals. Also, there is Irupu falls in the proximity that brings more birds to the region. Here you can spot birds like Nilgiri flycatcher, great pied hornbill, and various others.
