Experiential journeys will make you a storyteller
About Ethiopia
Divided by the Great Rift Valley, this landlocked Ethiopia in eastern Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. Dating back to about 3 million years, Ethiopia is known for its ancient culture and historic significance.

Home to a number of different UNESCO Heritage Sites, Ethiopia is one of the most visually stunning places to visit in Africa. From the rugged peaks of the Simien Mountains to the beautiful alpine forests in Bale, or even the kaleidoscopic sandstone cliffs at Tigray- Ethiopia offers some of the most remarkable landscapes in the world.

While in Ethiopia, do make it a point to visit the various natural attractions there. From the stunning Blue Nile falls, with its mist-laden gorges, to the magnificent Erta Ale volcano with its lava lakes- the options here are endless. Tourists with a penchant for art and culture may also choose to explore the ancient Aksumite obelisks in Aksum, the holy sights of Gondar, or the revered city of Harar.

Some of the best things to do in Ethiopia include exploring the rock-strewn Orthodox Churches in Lalibela, or touring the ancient castles in the city of Gondar. Tourists with a taste for adventure may opt for the accommodative wildlife tours offered by the Bale Mountain National Park, or even attempt hiking the towering mountains of Simien. To get a taste of the local culture here, make sure to take a tour of the capital city of Addis Ababa, or interact with the ancient tribal population in the lower Omo Valley.

Owing to its diverse terrain, the country experiences a diverse range of temperatures. While the Danakil Depression, which is regarded as the hottest place on Earth, experiences high and dry climate throughout the year, the more elevated regions of Lalibela and Gondar remain cool at all times. Generally speaking, the best time to visit Ethiopia is between the months of November to February, when the weather remains sunny and the average temperature here remains around 25 degree Celsius.
