Tabuk City is one of the major cities of Saudi Arabia. The city has an area of about 3,000 square kilometers and a population exceeding 4 million people. It lies around 550 kilometers to the west of Riyadh, the capital city. Tabuk, the second-largest city in the north-eastern region of Saudi Arabia, is known as a hub for entertainment, shopping, and culture. Tabuk city has several attractions which including the Al-Jumaa Mosque which was built around 1760 AD and has become one of Tabuk’s historic landmarks. Also, Al Tabqa Dam serves as a huge reservoir for nearby villages and towns, providing water to more than 170,000 people. Visit the castles, forts, and towers - they were built during Roman times or at least based on Roman designs. Also, take a look at the archaeology site at Huqan and Jabal al-Qal‘a. These sites showcase an impressive desert landscape that dates back thousands of years.

In general, Tabuk has a hot/arid climate with scattered precipitation. In this region, summers are often very dry and winters can see very little rain. The best time of year for rainfall is usually during the monsoon season (July to September).
