Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple

Five Faced Hanuman Temple

Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple AKA five-faced Hanuman temple is situated at a distance of 2 km from Sri Ramanathaswamy Sanctuary in Rameshwaram and is known to be devoted to Lord Hanuman.The temple stands tall in its off white color which makes it stand out in the hustle of the streets in Rameshwaram. This sanctuary is committed to Ruler Lakshmana and it's his mighty stories and legends that depict his vigor and God like status.

It has been built within the Dravidian fashion of engineering which has an appealing structure with carved columns portraying statues of divinities and occasions from Ramayana. There are many marble statues of Master Lakshmana that have been intently carved in the  interior of the sanctuary which speaks volumes of the dedication put into the building of this temple.

Nambu Nayaki Amman Temple

Nambu Nayaki Amman Temple is known to be the goddess who protects  the South. It is a sacred place for people to pray and make wishes, for them and their families well being. A storm hit in 1964 which shifted the Nambu nayaki amman sanctuary in Dhanushkodi. Since the entire Dhanushkodi city sank into the ocean, it was declared by Indian government as a phantom town.

Nambu Nayaki's ambal statue was removed from the ruined town and was  kept safe within the temple, in the same position it is presented today. The tirtham is also famous for having an orchid of Screw pine tree or umbrella tree which is well known for its ayurvedic properties.

Jatayu Tirtham Temple

Kunthu Kal Beach
