Mackay

Lying around 603 miles north of Brisbane, Mackay happens to be the sugar capital of Australia, owing to its whopping sugar production of over one third of the total sugar produced in the country. This city is named after John Mackay, who led an expedition into the Pioneer Valley back in 1860.
