As stated in the Guinness Book of World Records, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the first of its kind and also the largest koala sanctuary in the world. The place is famous for being the home for 130 koalas and it has an experience of 85 years. The place is located in the southern part at distance of 12km from the city centre. Apart from koalas one can see kangaroos, wombats, possums, birds and other Aussie critters.
