1. Chellure Hill: This 7.5 km-long trail is one of the most popular trails for trekking in Bheemeshwari due to the picturesque route and the ease. People of all ages and levels of expertise can go on this pleasant trek whose endpoint is the beautiful Chellure Hill, which is also a popular viewpoint. During the trek, you get to cross the Cauvery River and go on a boat ride.

2. Doddamakali: Located deep in the middle of a tropical forest, Doddamkali is another popular option when it comes to trekking in Bheemeshwari. The trek is popular because it offers the opportunity for bird watching, rafting and even fishing in the water bodies along the route.
There is a massive pool that is formed by the River Cauvery where you can relax on the banks, go boating, fishing and swimming. There are also options for other water sports for the adventure-loving individual. The isolated and rugged landscape, with the natural beauty, makes this one of the most beautiful treks in the area.

3. Galibore: Galibore is another naturally beautiful spot if you want to go trekking in Bheemeshwari. It is in the opposite direction of the Doddamakali trek and includes another aspect of the River Cauvery that you can explore along the route. You can spot herds of elephants grazing during the trek and tread through paths that are fringed with hills on either side. Even though fishing is allowed in the river during the trek, you have to release them back into the river, due to the “catch and release” rule that is implemented in the area.

The time between November to February is considered the best time to go trekking in and around Bheemeshwari. This is the winter season in the area and it is also the time when you can see herds of elephants grazing in the wilderness and catch fish in the beautiful River Cauvery.
