Ghati Subramanya

Ghati Subramanya lies 60 kms away from Bangalore.

It is a religious place located 12 kms from Doddaballapur, a rural district of Bangalore.

The legend has it, that the idol of Shri Subramanya originated on its own and so it draws a large number of people to its door.

It is interesting to see how Lord Sri Subrahmanya faces east and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha faces west in one image.

To get a glimpse of Lord Narasimha, one needs to place a mirror in the rear side.

The uniqueness of the temple is maintained by the people in charge and special poojas are conducted on the eve of Brahmarathotsava.

People also use the temple for celebrating Narasimha Jayanti and organising marriage functions.

The temple is also known to provide free meals to devotee.

The best way to reach Ghati is taking local transportation like buses. The nearest railway station is on Makali Durga on the Bangalore - Guntakal line.
