Adichunchanagiri

Adichunchanagiri is located in an altitude varying between 770m to 1000m. The sanctuary protects the peacocks and several other fauna. The flora is diverse and the birds species are something to look out for.

For bird watchers, sighting some of the rare species like the yellow-throated bulbul is a delight. The entry fee is a negligible Rs 15 for Indian tourists and Rs 50 for foreign tourists. To make your experience complete, there is also facility for safaris organised by forest department.

Carry a camera with you because you surely dont want to miss out on the fantastic landscapes and hire a guide whod fill you in with facts and incidents  about the place. Other than the peacock sanctuary, Adichunchanagiri is dotted with temples. Even for the adventure lovers, this place is pretty interesting. The rocky hills serve as challenging rock climbing experience.

Shravanabelagola: It is an important religious place of Jain. The Chandragupta basadi and the Parashwanath basadi are supposedly the biggest of all in the Chandragiri.

Belur: Belur is a small town located on the banks of River Yagachi, in Hassan district of Karnataka. Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire.

The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakeshava temple complex dedicated to Lord ˜Chennakeshava (handsome Vishnu) temple.It is about one hundred feet high and has a magnificent gateway tower. There are many subsidary shrines around the main temple.

Halebidu: Halebidu is located in Hassan District. It was the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire in the 12th century. It The temple complex comprises two Hindu temples, the Hoysaleshawara and Kedareshwara temples and two Jain basadi.
