Your walk takes you through tree-lined avenues, stitched with traditional Hindu life in union with Buddhism and Jainism that complete your spiritual odyssey. You will also get to sip on local chai. Around 8am, you’ll start from Mukteshwar Temple, a seat of learning for Hindus also known for its ancient architecture and religious significance. This is one of the four major sacred places here. Head to Parsurameswar Temple, followed by a visit to Bindu Sagar, a holy water tank surrounded by several enchanting temples and ghats. From here you arrive at the last spot of the quadrant, Lingraja Temple. This temple is off-limits to non-Hindus, although thanks to British Viceroy Lord Curzon, foreign travellers can witness it from a specially erected viewing tower. Known for its famous Rath Yatra, this is where you’ll conclude your tour.

The 2 days guided tour to Chilka Lake lets you experience the beauty of this place in an unconventional manner. Camp on a magnificent island in the lake, bask in the sun and feast on the succulent sea food while spending your time spotting the wonderful fauna in this area.
After a quick rendezvous in your hotel lobby at around 9 am in the morning, you will be driven to Satapada. A boat cruise takes you to the magnificent island of the Chilka Lake. Once reaching the island, lunch will be provided and post-lunch you can relax in the camp. Admire the tranquillity of the water and witness the flocks of colourful, rare migratory birds which visit this lake. You may also get to spot the playful dolphins and other amphibians dwelling in the area.
Get mesmerised by a magnificent view of the sunset while taking a boat cruise around the island. Enjoy the delightful seafood dinner and camp overnight. After your breakfast in the morning around 9 am, take a boat cruise to the fishing communities of the island. Bullock cart rides take you to the interiors of the villages. Return to the camp and leave for the mainland taking a local ferry.
