London Zoo is the world’s oldest scientific zoo that was intended to be used as a collection for scientific study and research. London Zoo, also known as London Zoological Gardens or Regent’s Zoo, is the world's oldest scientific zoo, founded in 1828 for scientific study and later transformed in 1847. How To Reach

By Tube: Camden Town Station is the nearest Underground station to the London Zoo from where you can walk to the zoo in 15 minutes. 

By Train: Board a train to the Euston station, then take a northern line tube from Euston to Camden Town and then walk to the London Zoo.

By Bus: Get on bus 88 or 274 and alight at Prince Albert Road in Albany Street from where the zoo is only a few minutes away.

By Car: Drive to London Zoo from the city centre in 25 minutes and park at Outer Circle in Regent’s Park.

Best Time To Visit

ZSL London Zoo is best visited during the morning hours when the zoo opens because it is when the animals are awake and active. The weather is also pleasant and the tourist crowds are yet to come in which means you can take a leisurely tour around the zoo.
