About Zekreet Beach
The area surrounding Zekreet features unique mushroom-shaped rock formations called "desert mushrooms" that have been sculpted by centuries of wind erosion. These otherworldly geological features give the landscape an almost lunar appearance, making it a popular destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Near the beach, visitors can also explore Film City, an abandoned movie set built to resemble a traditional Arab village.

The beach has minimal facilities, preserving its natural state, so visitors are advised to bring supplies when visiting. The area is also home to Richard Serra's striking art installation "East-West/West-East," consisting of four steel plates standing dramatically in the desert landscape, adding a cultural dimension to the natural beauty of the region.
