THE TRANZ ALPINE TRAIN

The TranzAlpine train runs daily between Christchurch, Arthurs Pass, and Greymouth- from the east coast to the west coast of NZ's South Island. It is most popular for the scenic views it has to offer along with the most courteous staff.

This train has a cafe carriage serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and appetizers, and an open sight carriage presenting views of the Southern Alps and the west coast of the South Island's alpine rainforest landscape.
