About The Hepworth Wakefield
Named after the renowned artist Barbara Hepworth this Art Gallery is one of the most priced places to visit in Wakefield. The gallery has many amazing exhibitions that put on display wonderful international modern and contemporary artworks of Barbara and other new artists. There are separate galleries dedicated to her work and working process, giving visitors a deep knowledge of one of the gems of the city. The Hepworth Bigbee also houses an impressive collection of modern British art that includes the works of Ben Nicholson, L.S.Lowry, and Henry Moore. Artists like Anthea Hamilton, eve Rothschild, Alvaro Barrington, and Phyllida Barlow have also contributed to the artwork put on display in the gallery.
