The unique architecture of this church makes it among the top places to visit in Helsinki. It was completed recently in 1969 and has gained tourist attention rather swiftly. You will find the hall of the church covered with a dome with a lining of copper.
If you happen to come here before noon, you will witness the light from outside spreading across the windows of the roof, right up to the altar wall. The church is a prominent venue for events throughout the year, owing to its excellent acoustics.
