About Temple of Artemis

Constructed during the 2nd century AD, this grand temple was dedicated to Artemis, the goddess of hunting and nature. Situated at the heart of Jerash, it features impressive Corinthian columns and a large central sanctuary. The temple once stood as a symbol of prosperity in the ancient city, which was part of the Roman Decapolis. Though much of the structure is now in ruins, the Temple of Artemis remains a striking historical landmark, reflecting the grandeur of Roman-era architecture and culture.
