The temple has the most splendid walls featuring spectacular carvings of warriors, celestial bodies, and horses.
It contains a sanctum with Chikhara as the crown, and the temple faces eastwards. You will find an octagonal mandap before you enter the temple. Every year the temple attracts millions of devotees from across India who offer their prayers to Lord Sun and revel in its architectural glory.
