SULTAN QABOOS GRAND MOSQUE

Dominating the clear blue skies of Muscat, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the main mosque in the Sultanate of Oman. Among the most renowned historical places in Muscat, the Mosque is an architectural wonder. Presenting a seamless blend of Islamic, Middle eastern and traditional Omani styles of architecture, the white marbled mosque is known for its intricate designs and structures.

The 5 minarets that surround the mosque stand for the 5 pillars of Islamic faith, with the tallest one reaching over 90 meters in height. The Mosque is also home to the world’s largest chandelier, made out of over six hundred thousand crystals.
