How To Reach
- By Train: Take a train to Stadelhofen train station from Zürich HB, the main train station of the city. From here, walk south until you reach the lakefront of Lake Zurich. The distance is about 2 km and can be covered in about 7 minutes.
- By Foot: If you are visiting in the afternoon, take the path between Seebad Utoquai and Eden au Lac. Avoid Bellevue and Sechselaeutenplatz when walking from Stadelhofen station. If you are visiting in the evening, start around Swiss Life (Rentenanstalt) and Rentenwiese or slightly further south till you reach the Zurich Lake basin.
Best Time To Visit
The event takes place around mid-August every year. The event usually takes place on the second Saturday of August. Arrive early in the day around noon to secure a good spot along the parade route and enjoy the festivities before it gets too crowded. Afternoon or early evening is when the crowds are not very dense. You can consider attending the event during these times if you wish to avoid too much crowd. Late evening or early morning hours are when you will experience the maximum crowds here.
