Starefossen is a beautiful waterfall cascading from the lake Skomakerdiket making it a serene and scenic place for nature lovers and hikers. How To Reach

By Bus: You can take bus lines 11, 5, 6 or 16E to reach Starefossen from Bergen. Get off at the Starefossen bus stop which is located in the city centre of Starefossen.

By Taxi: Hire a cab from Bergen city centre to Starefossen. The drive is about 10 minutes long and it costs approximately INR 700 to 900. It is the most convenient way.

By Train: Take the train from Kaigaten to Floen to reach Starefrossen. You can take Line 2 to reach the destination. It is a short journey of 5 minutes.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Starefossen is during late spring to early autumn, from May to September, when the weather is mild, and the waterfall is at its most powerful due to snowmelt from the mountains. The surrounding greenery is vibrant during these months, making it perfect for hiking and photography. Summer offers the best conditions for outdoor activities, but even in spring, the scenic beauty and tranquility of Starefossen make it a great destination for nature lovers.
