About St. Martin's Church
St. Martin’s Church is the oldest parish church in history that is still in use. The church was set up by St. Augustine when he came to Kent in 597. Combined with Canterbury Cathedral and St. Augustine’s Abbey, the whole place, makes the World Canterbury Heritage Site. This place would be a treat for you if you are interested in historic artefacts as the places consist of various ones such as St. Martin’s Chrismatory, Sir John Finch’s Memorial, the oldest part of the church made with roman bricks, etc. This place is not very known to most of the tourists and hence you will always find relatively less crowd here making it easier for you to visit. While planning a visit to the church you must consider the fact that its visiting hours are limited.

• Be amazed with the astounding architecture of St. Martin’s Church that was built in the 6th Century.
• Visit the Canterbury Cathedral and St. Augustine’s Abbey near the church as they collectively make the Canterbury World Heritage Site.
