About St. Blaise's Church
Nestled in the heart of the old town parts of Dubrovnik, this beautiful church is among the most popular places to visit in Dubrovnik. The church was originally built in the 14th century but was completely ruined in a fire in 1706. The original structure of this church featured a great influence of Romanesque architectural style in its facade. Today the most amazing elements of the church include its wide staircase and terrace, which provide a tranquil and peaceful space for visitors.
The interior of the church has put on display a collection of items that were saved from the fire of the original church. In this list is the statue of Sveti Vlaho dating back to the 15th century and holding the model of Dubrovnik town in his hands. The church also witnessed the Feast of St. Blaise - a festival held every year on 4th Feb.
