Somnath Temple is one of the most beguiling places to visit in Pali because history has it that it was attacked multiple times by Mahmud of Ghazni but still it stood erect.
Built-in the year 1209 by Gujarat’s king, the temple, renowned for its art and rich history has a shivling within the shrine inside along with the idols of Nandi, Ganesha, and Parvati. You can see intricate carvings on the temple’s pinnacle (Shikhar) that are architectural masterpieces.
