How To Reach

- How to Reach Shiroda Beach from Panji

The distance between Shiroda Beach and Panji is around 48 km. There are several ways to reach Shiroda Beach from Panji. Starting with a taxi or self-drive service which can take up to 1hr 30 minutes. There are also various buses running between Panji and Shiroda beach on a regular basis which is also an option but it might take a little more time compared to a taxi or a cab. 

 - How to Reach Shiroda Beach from Goa International Airport

The distance between Goa International Airport and Shiroda is around 72 km. After you get down to the airport you can either choose to travel by bus or taxi. Either of which will drop you close to the beach. You can also rent a car or a scooter and drive/ride to the beach. This option is much faster and cost-effective too.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Shiroda beach is between the months of October and February. This is just after the rainy season and the temperature is perfectly set between 15°C and 30°C. This allows visitors to spend a couple of days on the beach and enjoy various activities and water sports.  Additionally, travelers should visit the beach in the evening when they can enjoy the beautiful sunset too. Things to carry at Shiroda-beach

A trip to the Shiroda beach always requires you to carry some very essential items you mustn't forget.

A day on the Shiroda Beach can be really sunny. It is better for visitors to carry some kind of skin protection including sunscreen to prevent themselves from any kind of skin burns.  

Carry some cash as the ATMs are not very close to the beach and to find one, you'll need to walk into the villages.

Medical Facilities near Shiroda Beach 

There are various hospitals and clinics available throughout the stretch of the beach but at a little distance. The closest hospital to the beach is Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital at about 4 km and is open 24 hours for regular checks and emergencies. From the beach, there is a cab and taxi service available that can take you directly to the hospital. It is also advisable that you carry some kind of first aid with you.

Travelers' Tip before visiting Shiroda Beach

Carry a fanny pack or backpack and keep all your belongings in it. Keep a constant check on your bag and do not misplace it. 

Carry some cash but use cards wherever possible. If you run out of cash, ATMs are at quite a distance from the beach. 

Carry proper clothes. Since you are visiting the beach, carry all your beach clothes, in other words, loose clothes.
