About Serranos Towers

The Serranos Towers (Torres de Serranos) in Valencia, Spain, stand as a remarkable symbol of the city’s medieval past. Built in the 14th century, these Gothic-style towers once served as part of Valencia’s defensive walls, protecting the city from invasions. Over the centuries, they have also functioned as a prison and a ceremonial entrance for visiting royalty.

Visitors can explore the towers from Tuesday to Saturday (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and on Sundays and public holidays (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM). Entry costs €2, with discounts available, and admission is free on Sundays. From the top, breathtaking panoramic views of Valencia’s old town and the Turia Gardens can be enjoyed.

As one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Spain, the Serranos Towers continue to attract history enthusiasts and tourists, offering a glimpse into Valencia’s rich cultural heritage.
