  • By Car: The Sentiero dell’Olivo is about 5 km from Lugano city centre. It can take you around 15 minutes via the Via San Domenico route. There is parking available at the San Domenico area in Castagnola.
  • By Bus: Take the #2 bus from Lugano Stazione to the Castagnola, Posta bus stop. The journey takes about 16-18 minutes. From the bus stop, walk downhill and follow the green signs to the “Sentiero dell’Olivo.”
  • By Ferry: Take the ferry from Lugano Centrale Port or Lugano Paradiso to Gandria. From the pier, you can walk back towards Castagnola to start the trail.
