Nestled near the entrance to the Grand Canal, Santa Maria Della Salute boasts for being among the Venice Tourist Places with elegant Baroque architecture. Adorned with white stones and high domes the monument displays a mesmerising picture of itself under the bright sun.
Also, the exteriors are further adorned with some intricate carvings which enhances the elegance of the building. The interiors are laden with marble flooring with a black dot at the centre which is believed to be radiating healing energy. Moreover, it is flooded with filtered sunlight penetrating through the disks of pale-tinted glasses fixed in the high dome.
However, the centre of attention is the carefully carved baroque high altar along with a Cretan icon of Madonna of Good Health of 12th century. Also, you could witness the beautiful painting of The Descent of the Holy Spirit by Titian on the side altar near the entrance.
