This fine arts museum is located in Balboa Park and has a wide collection, the maximum being Spanish arts. Opened in 1926, this museum was originally known as The Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego. It is the largest and oldest museum in San Diego. A major fundraiser called ‘Art Alive’ is hosted by the museum in April every year. You can also enjoy other events like ‘Culture and Cocktails’ and ‘Art after Hours’. The museum has a very thorough collection with art pieces dating from 5000 BC to 2012 AD.
