RYTON ORGANIC GARDENS

Located in the middle of England, Ryton Organic Gardens features ten fields of organic gardens that are teeming with fauna, full of plants, overflowing with flowers, and loaded with fresh, seasonal produce. Garden Organic, the premier organic charity in the United Kingdom, has called this location home for nearly 25 years.

Garden Organic, a nonprofit dedicated to organic farming, maintains a 10-acre demonstration garden in Ryton. Herbs, roses, grass, shrubbery, herbaceous plants, vegetable, and fruit growing are all represented in the exhibits. Learn about composting and natural ways to combat pests and diseases at these beautiful gardens. In addition to the world's first public biodynamic garden, there is a big conservation area replete with native trees and wildflowers, living willow structures, a bee garden,, and more. The Heritage Seed Library, located in the Vegetable Kingdom, is one of the most visited attractions of Garden Organic and is responsible for the preservation of hundreds of endangered vegetable species. The Garden Café, located on-site, was recognised as the Best Organic Restaurant in Great Britain in 2007 by the Organic Trade Association. Established in 1986, Garden Organic Ryton is now the headquarters of the United Kingdom's premier organic farming organisation. With over 50 years of experience in organic horticulture, Garden Organic is a non-profit organisation committed to advancing the cause of sustainable agriculture and food production. There are more than 30 distinct gardens at Garden Organic Ryton, all of which feature organic plant and flower varieties, as well as trees and fruits grown using various methods.
