Pushpagiri Hill, situated in the Kodagu District of Karnataka, is the second-highest hill in Coorg. Also known as Kumara Parvatha hill, it is set at an altitude of 5626 ft with the lovely Harangi River originating from its top.
Covered with lush green forests, misty grasslands, and jagged terrains, this hill is pretty famous among the trekking enthusiasts for a marvellous hiking experience. The moderate to difficult level trek usually starts from the forest checkpoint at the base of Pushpagiri Hill, 7 Km away from the peak and is one of the best Coorg attractions.
It takes around 3-4 hours to reach the top. Along with an astonishing view of the hovering clouds and the glorious sun, you can also find a temple dedicated to Kumara Swamy.

One needs to register their names at the checkpoint before starting the trek, however, there is no entry fee, it is highly suggested to hire a guide at Bidahalli or Heggadamane villages for a smooth trekking experience.
Pushpagiri is the second highest Peak in Coorg, first in the Pushpagiri wildlife sanctuary and sixth in the entire Karnataka state. It is one of the best Coorg tourist places to wander around.
The trekking route gradually changes into difficult from moderate as you near the peak, the 7 KM route from the check post is usually covered in 3 to 4 hours one way.
