SQUARE OF MIRACLES

The Square of Miracles is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Pisa and is one of the most sought after landmarks in the city. It is located close to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and is a symbol of 12th century architecture. In fact, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually the bell tower of this structure. The Square of Miracles has a Romanesque architecture made with marble and bronze doors.

How To Reach

• By Car: The Square of Miracles is 3.2 kilometres away from the city centre and it will take around 10 minutes to reach by car via the Contessa Matilde route. 
• By Train/ metro: Take a train to X station which is Y feet away from the museum. You can reach the activity location from the train station with a Z-minute walk
• By Foot: Walk from the heart of the city to the Square of Miracles by taking the Contessa Matilde road. The overall journey can take up to 5 minutes and is just 400 metres away.

Best Time To Visit

The Square of Miracles is open to visiting during all times of the year, so you can plan your visit at any time. 

• Spring season, which spans from April to June is the best time to plan your visit as the crowds are less and the climate is also pleasant.
• Plan your visit on the weekdays as during weekends, the venue might become more crowded.
• Morning is the best time as you can skip the waiting lines that crowd up in the rest of the day and explore quickly. 

Other Essential Information

• Kids aged 8 years and below will not be allowed to climb the tower, so be ready with your ID proof in case you will have to show any. 
• There is a free cloakroom service for you to put your bag when you are exploring the Square of Miracles.
• There are toilets near the cloakroom, in case you will have to use any of the facilities. Do remember that you will have to pay 1 Euro to use it. 
• Do arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before the designated time of entry as the Square of Miracles does not permit latecomers. 
• Tickets may mention that you will have only 30 minutes to visit the Square of Miracles, but in reality, you can spend a much longer time at the venue.
