Nestled in the heart of Quang Binh, the Paradise Cave is the most beautiful cave in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. It is locally known as Thien Duong Cave, however, due to its awe-inspiring natural beauty tourists have named it the ‘Paradise Cave’. It is a 31 km long cave which is adorned with stunning stalagmites, stalactites, stone formations, grand chambers and dramatic staircases.
Paradise Cave has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site which attracts millions of tourists every year. To reach the cave, you will have to first climb 500 stone steps which leads to the entrance of the cave. Inside the cave, there is another 1000-metre-long wooden walkway which leads to a beautiful underground river.

By Road: Paradise Cave is located at a distance of around 22 km from the centre of Phong Nha town. You can reach the cave in approximately 45 minutes via the DT20 route. You can either take a taxi or rent a car and enjoy a self-drive to the cave. For a more budget-friendly and convenient option, you can also rent a motorbike which is easily available in the town.
Paradise Cave is a year-round attraction, offering unique experiences throughout the year. To experience pleasant weather conditions, less rainfall and more sunshine, you can plan your visit to the cave between April to August. You can visit the cave on the weekdays to avoid the weekend rush and explore peacefully at your own pace. It is advisable to visit the cave during the early hours so that you will have sufficient time to explore its nearby surroundings.
