NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ART

One of the best places to learn about the country’s art is Osaka’s National Museum of Art. The NMAP is an underground art museum located on the small island of Nakanoshima between the Tosabori and Dōjima rivers.

The museum opened its doors in 1977, and is home to a large collection of works by some of the leading international artists, especially from the post-war period. You can also find works of Cézanne, Picasso, Kuniyoshi and Foujita here.
