NATIONAL MOTOR MUSEUM

Spend some time at the National Motor Museum, which is one of the largest museums dedicated entirely to automobiles in the whole world, and is amongst the best tourist places to visit in Southampton. Marvel has more than 250 vehicles in the museum, which range from several centuries ago, all the way to the present day. 

Located a few miles to the southwest of Southampton, in New Forest, is the National Motor Museum, formerly known as the Montagu Motor Museum. It is predominantly known to be one of the largest museums in the world dedicated to automobiles. Home to more than 280 vehicles from different eras and collections, it is in the National Motor Museum where you can catch sights of classic as well as sporting cars, modern rally vehicles, F1 race cars, as well as many famous movie cars. 

Founded in 1952, the National Motor Museum also boasts of being home to one of the finest collections of motoring books, photographs, films as well as journals in the world. Some of the major highlights of this museum include the official collection of vehicles used in the original James Bond movies, the 1962 flying Ford Anglia used in the Harry Potter movies, as well as the cars constructed in the Top Gear TV series, among others.
