MATSUMOTO CITY MUSEUM OF ART

The Matsumoto City Museum of Art is a museum dedicated to artists based in the Japanese city og Matsumoto. The main attraction is the different types of exhibits that were once owned by Kusama Yayoyi- a world famous artist based in Matsumoto. She is internationally known for the vivid artworks like Pumpkin on Naoshima island at the Kagawa Prefecture. The museum was built in 2002 and comes with both temporary and permanent exhibitions.

The collections in this museum reflect her style of art and continue to attract tourists from both locally and internationally.
