The Mankameshwar Temple is one of the oldest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is more than a thousand years old. It has been and still is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus. During Shivratri, thousands of devotees throng the temple to pray to Lord Shiva.
It is also the best time to visit the Mankameshwar Temple. Legend has it that the silver Shiva Linga that forms the central attraction of the temple, was found by Lord Shiva himself. The temple traces its roots back to the Mahabharata and Dwapara Yuga.

- Mondays from 4:00 am to 12 am.
- Other week days open from 5:00 am to 12 noon in the morning and 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm in the evening.
-The temple remains closed from 12 to 3 everyday.
